In a significant operation, security forces in Enugu State apprehended six individuals identified as notorious gunmen, who were on a security watch list. The operation resulted in the seizure of a substantial cache of weapons, including 17 AK-47 rifles, a General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG), a rocket-propelled grenade launcher, and a total of 1,071 rounds of ammunition, among other arms. Following the operation, the Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Mba, issued a stern warning to remaining criminal elements in the area, urging them to vacate Enugu or face severe consequences.
