A collective of young artists from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, emerged in Lagos approximately 25 years ago, aiming to redefine traditional concepts of art. Under the guidance of Professor El Anatsui, these artists sought to explore and expand the boundaries of artistic expression. Their innovative approaches have sparked discussions about the nature of art and its inherent meanings, prompting a reevaluation of what constitutes artistic value in contemporary society. This movement has significantly influenced the Nigerian art scene and continues to inspire new generations of artists.
