Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) apprehended Abugu Oliver Ikechukwu, a 41-year-old businessman based in Brazil, at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Ikeja, Lagos. The arrest occurred as he arrived from São Paulo, where he allegedly imported shirts and towels that were found to be impregnated with 6.10 kilograms of liquid cocaine. The NDLEA has stated that the agency is committed to combating drug trafficking and will continue to monitor and apprehend individuals involved in such illegal activities. Further investigations are ongoing to ascertain the full extent of the operation.
