The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has officially refuted allegations that Nigeria lacks a functional National Identity Database. In a statement issued by Kayode Adegoke, the Head of Corporate Communications Unit, the Commission characterized such claims as misleading and inconsistent with the current situation. NIMC emphasized that the National Identity Database is fully operational, reinforcing its commitment to maintaining an accurate and accessible identity management system for the country.
