The 21-year-old was scheduled to compete against defending champion Barbora Krejcikova in the final; however, Krejcikova withdrew from the match due to an upper respiratory illness. Montgomery's victory marks a significant milestone in her professional career, as she becomes the champion of this prestigious WTA 250 event.
