Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has confirmed that preparations for the commencement of Phase 2 of the Lekki Deep Sea Port are underway, as the facility approaches its operational capacity. The first phase of the port, which has been completed, was developed at a cost of US$1.1 billion, while the upcoming second phase is projected to require an investment of US$240 million. This expansion is part of the state's broader strategy to enhance its maritime infrastructure and boost economic activities in the region.
