The Director-General of the Kano State Investment Promotion Agency (KANINVEST), Muhammad Nazir Halliru, announced that Kano State successfully attracted Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) exceeding $150 million, which is over N204 billion, in the year 2025. This information was shared during the 60th anniversary celebration of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) held in Kano. Halliru highlighted the role of renewable energy as a key sector contributing to this significant investment influx.
