The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), through its Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone A in Lagos, has successfully intercepted 22 pieces of elephant tusks, which are estimated to be worth N126.39 million in the international black market. This operation is part of a concerted effort to combat wildlife trafficking and was conducted in collaboration with the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency. The seizure highlights the ongoing commitment of Nigerian authorities to protect endangered species and enforce environmental regulations.
