Justice Peter Odo Lifu of the Federal High Court in Abuja has issued a ruling mandating the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to deregister the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Accord Party, and several other political parties. This decision comes as a result of alleged breaches of constitutional provisions by these parties, which were the subject of a legal challenge. The ruling was delivered on Monday during the court's proceedings concerning a suit filed regarding the parties' compliance with electoral regulations in preparation for the upcoming 2027 general elections.
