The Kwara State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has expressed its strong disapproval of a recent Federal High Court ruling that mandated the deregistration of the party along with four others. The ADC characterized the judgment as a significant threat to democratic plurality and an effort to undermine opposition parties in the lead-up to the 2027 general elections. The party's leadership emphasized that such legal actions could stifle diverse political representation and diminish the voices of dissent within the political landscape. The ruling was issued by Justice Peter Lifu of the Federal High Court.
