The Ekiti State government has reaffirmed its dedication to the elimination of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and various forms of gender-based violence within the region. Dr. Oyebanji Filani, the Commissioner for Health and Human Services, made this declaration during a two-day training session aimed at health educators and assistant health educators in the state. This training, organized by the United Nations, seeks to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to combat these harmful practices effectively. The initiative underscores the government's ongoing efforts to promote women's health and rights in Ekiti State.
