The Minkbrown Foundation has been officially launched in Ibadan by the family of the late Pa Mink Olamidimeji Ayinla, with the aim of tackling the increasing prevalence of dementia in Nigeria. The foundation will focus on raising awareness, advocating for better policies, providing support for caregivers, and enhancing access to care for individuals affected by dementia. Mrs. Boladale Akiwumi-Kolapo, the daughter of Pa Mink and the country director of Girl Effect Nigeria, emphasized the importance of addressing this growing health concern during the launch event. The initiative seeks to create a supportive environment for those impacted by dementia and to foster a greater understanding of the condition within the community.
