Nigerian actor Emeka Ike has initiated legal proceedings against the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and Lere Olayinka, an aide to Governor Nyesom Wike, in connection with an alleged breach of his voter registration details. Ike is pursuing ₦10 billion in damages, asserting that his privacy was compromised when screenshots of his voter registration transfer were circulated on the social media platform X. INEC has responded to the allegations, clarifying that the information in question was not disclosed by the commission.
