A comprehensive study published in June 2026 evaluates the impact and effectiveness of economic development interventions by CESVI in Lebanon, particularly following the 2024 ceasefire and amidst a resurgence of hostilities. The analysis focuses on three core programs aimed at supporting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), which have faced significant challenges due to ongoing conflict, including market isolation and disrupted supply chains. Data was collected through a mixed-methods approach, involving surveys, focus group discussions, and interviews with industry experts, to assess how CESVI's initiatives have enhanced enterprise adaptability and resilience in a deteriorating economic and security environment. The findings aim to inform future development strategies in crisis situations, emphasizing the importance of understanding past responses and survival strategies of entrepreneurs.
