Court Orders Sowore’s Arrest, Dismisses ADC Recusal Motion, Awards ₦1m Cost

The Federal High Court in Abuja has issued an order for the arrest of Omoyele Sowore, the activist and publisher of Sahara Reporters, following the revocation of his bail due to his failure to appear in court. In a separate ruling, the court dismissed a recusal motion filed by the African Democratic Congress (ADC). Additionally, the court awarded a cost of ₦1 million against the ADC for the proceedings. These decisions were made during a session held on June 16.
