A judge has dismissed an application from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola, which sought his withdrawal from a party leadership lawsuit. The judge stated that the application lacked merit and failed to provide credible evidence of bias or any attempts to obstruct the Supreme Court's directive for an expedited hearing. In addition to rejecting the request, the court imposed a fine of N1 million on the applicants.
