In a statement released by his special adviser on information and strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu highlighted the professionalism and determination displayed by the military during the operation, which he described as a significant relief for her family and the nation. Additionally, he commended the armed forces for their role in a separate operation in Kogi State that led to the death of notorious bandit kingpin Ibrahim Bastuji, emphasizing that this development represents a major setback for criminal activities in the region. The president reaffirmed the government's commitment to equipping the military and security agencies with the necessary resources to combat banditry and urged citizens to support these efforts by providing valuable information.
