In response to the rising insecurity and attacks on educational institutions in Nigeria, the Ondo State government has established a 17-member committee aimed at enhancing the security of schools throughout the state. This committee includes representatives from various security agencies, such as the Nigerian Army, Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and the Amotekun security outfit. Additionally, the government plans to implement the installation of CCTV systems in schools located near the state's borders to bolster surveillance and protection measures.
