A coalition of civil society organisations has formally requested the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to reject a petition that alleges the misappropriation of security funds in Kogi State. The coalition, which includes the Centre for Public Integrity, Nigeria Integrity Watch, and others, contends that the allegations are politically motivated and may jeopardize current security operations in the region. They assert that such claims could distract from the critical efforts to maintain safety and security in Kogi State.
