The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) has released its Situation Report #225, detailing the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the occupied Palestinian territories, particularly in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. The report highlights intensified military activities by Israeli forces, which have resulted in civilian casualties and further restricted humanitarian access in Gaza. Temporary closures of multiple crossings have significantly hindered the delivery of essential supplies, exacerbating existing shortages of critical resources such as engine oil and spare parts necessary for humanitarian operations. Additionally, the report notes that health services are under severe strain due to reliance on aging generators, with a substantial portion of UNRWA's vehicles and generators currently out of service, posing imminent risks to public health and safety.
