The Federal Government has achieved approximately 150 convictions in the first 48 hours of its ongoing mass terrorism trials, as announced by Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN). Speaking to journalists at the Federal High Court in Abuja, Fagbemi reported that the current phase of trials, which began on Monday, has seen around 160 trials conducted, with a significant number of cases still pending. He noted that the proceedings are being held simultaneously before ten judges, including Justices Binta Nyako and Emeka Nwite, and emphasized the government's commitment to addressing terrorism through these legal actions. The trials are set to continue through Thursday, with the overall initiative reflecting a broader effort to uphold justice and the rule of law in the country.
