Tinubu Approves Recruitment of 1,000 Forest Guards to Strengthen Security in Katsina

President Bola Tinubu has authorized the recruitment of 1,000 forest guards aimed at enhancing security measures in Katsina State. Governor Dikko Radda made this announcement during a press briefing following a meeting with Islamic clerics and other stakeholders at the Government House in Katsina. The governor emphasized the importance of community involvement in addressing insecurity, noting that some residents have been found to assist criminal elements through various means. He highlighted the role of Islamic clerics in fostering moral values and mobilizing community efforts against crime, stating that the newly recruited forest guards will work in conjunction with existing security agencies and community watch groups to secure remote areas and combat banditry and kidnapping effectively.
