Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, has announced his intention to pursue legal action against Kenneth Okonkwo, a prominent member of the African Democratic Congress, for alleged defamation. This decision follows Okonkwo's claims made during a national television appearance, where he accused Obi of overseeing a bribery scheme involving House of Representatives aspirants during the party's primary elections. Obi, in an interview with Nevon Media, expressed his readiness to confront these allegations in court, emphasizing that Okonkwo's statements have prompted him to seek legal recourse to clear his name. He further invited any individuals with criminal accusations against him to present their cases in a judicial setting.
