Uniuyo to mount CCTV cameras, log-in biometric capturing on campuses

The University of Uyo in Akwa Ibom State has announced plans to enhance security and improve administrative efficiency through the installation of Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras and biometric capturing systems across its campuses. This initiative aims to ensure the safety of the university community while also providing accurate data on the number of staff and students present on campus. Professor Christopher Ekong made this announcement during his investiture as the 9th substantive Vice-Chancellor of the institution, highlighting the university's commitment to leveraging technology for better management and security.
