The court dismissed five counts of accepting bribes and one count of conspiracy to commit bribery, which had been brought against her by British prosecutors. In her statement to News Central, Alison-Madueke described the past 11 years as traumatic for herself and her family, highlighting the emotional toll the legal proceedings have taken on them, including her elderly mother and son. She expressed gratitude for the court's decision and reflected on the challenges faced during this prolonged period.
