The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced plans to establish safe spaces for survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) in all 774 local government areas (LGAs) across the country. This initiative is part of an agreement signed in collaboration with the New Era Foundation, which aims to enhance protection, rehabilitation, and support services for individuals affected by GBV. The establishment of these safe spaces is expected to provide critical resources and assistance to survivors, contributing to a more comprehensive response to gender-based violence in Nigeria.
