The Nigerian Navy has successfully thwarted a crude oil theft operation by discovering a concealed underground storage facility in Delta State. During the operation, officials uncovered approximately 17,000 litres of stolen crude oil stored within the site. The Navy's intervention is part of ongoing efforts to combat illegal oil activities in the region, which have significant economic and environmental implications. Further investigations are expected to follow to identify those responsible for the illicit operation.
