Nigeria has formalized a prisoner transfer agreement with the Ethiopian government, which will allow for the transfer of more than 100 Nigerian inmates currently incarcerated in Ethiopia. This arrangement is designed to enable these individuals to serve the remainder of their sentences in Nigeria. The agreement aims to address the complexities surrounding the treatment of Nigerian nationals abroad and facilitate their reintegration into society upon their return.
