The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) has initiated an investigation into a recent boat accident in Benue State that resulted in the loss of 11 lives. A statement issued on Thursday by Funke Adebayo-Arowojobe, the Director of Public Affairs and Family Assistance, confirmed that the inquiry is being led by Captain Alex Badeh Jr., the Bureau's Director-General and Chief Executive Officer. The investigation aims to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident and to enhance safety measures for future maritime activities in the region.
