Lebanon is experiencing a severe humanitarian crisis, with over 1.049 million people displaced as a result of ongoing violence and economic instability. The United Nations and various international organizations report that more than 130,000 of these displaced individuals are currently living in 632 overcrowded collective shelters, raising concerns about their capacity to provide adequate support. Since March, the escalation of hostilities has resulted in 3,433 fatalities and 10,395 injuries, significantly impacting vulnerable populations, including children and women. In response, organizations like LIFE for Relief and Development are intensifying their humanitarian efforts by providing essential services such as food, healthcare, and temporary shelter, although the need for sustainable support remains critical as many families struggle with rising living costs and deteriorating infrastructure.
