The Maternal and Reproductive Health Collective (MRH Collective) has launched the “MamaBase Programme” aimed at addressing the high rates of maternal and infant mortality in Nigeria. This initiative encourages pregnant women to seek antenatal care and to deliver their babies in health facilities, ensuring they receive the necessary support from qualified healthcare professionals. The programme was introduced during a community sensitisation event, where the NGO emphasized the importance of professional medical assistance during pregnancy and childbirth. Through this initiative, MRH Collective aims to improve health outcomes for mothers and infants across the region.
