The Merck Foundation has awarded over 2,600 scholarships to healthcare professionals from 52 countries in Africa and Asia, focusing on 44 critical and underserved medical specialties. This initiative aims to enhance healthcare capacity in these regions. Notably, 328 healthcare professionals from Kenya are among the recipients of these scholarships, which are designed to address the pressing need for specialized medical training. The foundation's efforts are expected to significantly contribute to improving healthcare services in the participating countries.
