District head killed in Plateau attack

The District Head of Gwande in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State, Saf Samuel Alaket, was killed in an ambush by gunmen on Tuesday evening. The attack occurred around 7:30 p.m. as Alaket was returning home after attending a traditional council meeting along the Sha District axis, which borders the Daffo community. Local residents reported that the assailants targeted him during his journey, leading to his death. Authorities are investigating the incident to determine the circumstances surrounding the attack.
