In their opening match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup held in Toronto, Ghana's Black Stars achieved a narrow 1-0 victory against Panama. The first half saw Panama controlling possession and creating several scoring opportunities; however, they were unable to find the back of the net, thanks in part to the exceptional performance of Ghanaian goalkeeper Ati. The match highlighted Ghana's resilience as they managed to secure the win despite being under pressure for significant portions of the game.
