The Police Command in Benue has initiated a statewide enforcement operation targeting vehicles that display covered, obscured, unauthorized, or defaced number plates, as well as unregistered vehicles, starting from June 18. This initiative aims to enhance security measures within the state. The command's spokesperson, DSP Edet Udeme, confirmed the enforcement in a statement released to the media in Makurdi, emphasizing the importance of compliance with traffic regulations to ensure public safety. The operation reflects the police's commitment to addressing issues of insecurity linked to vehicle identification.
