The Federal Government of Nigeria, in collaboration with the Enugu State government, is working towards establishing direct cargo flights between China and Enugu by December. Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, announced this initiative as part of efforts to enhance trade relations and facilitate the movement of goods between the two regions. The proposed cargo flights are expected to significantly boost economic activities in Enugu and improve access to international markets for local businesses.
