The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), in partnership with the Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone ‘A’, the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA), and the Wildlife Justice Commission (WJC), has successfully conducted a joint operation targeting wildlife trafficking. This operation resulted in the seizure of 22 elephant tusks, valued at over ₦126.3 million. Additionally, four suspects have been apprehended in connection with this illegal activity. The collaborative effort underscores the commitment of these agencies to combat wildlife crime in Nigeria.
