President Bola Tinubu has granted a six-month tenure extension to Adewale Adeniyi, the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), which will allow him to continue in his role until February 2027. The announcement was made by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a statement released on Friday. This extension is described as a final term for Adeniyi, who has been leading the NCS in various capacities. The decision underscores the government's commitment to maintaining continuity in the leadership of the Customs Service.
