The Solid Minerals Development Fund (SMDF) has officially launched the Early-Stage Mineral Exploration and Research (EMERGE) Programme aimed at enhancing mineral exploration in Nigeria. The announcement was made by Hajiya Fatima Umaru Shinkafi, the Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of SMDF, during an event held in Abuja. The initiative is designed to support and promote research activities in the mineral sector, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of the country's mineral resources. This program is expected to attract investment and foster innovation in the exploration of Nigeria's vast mineral potential.
