The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) at Yobe State University has expressed strong dissatisfaction with the Yobe State Government for failing to fulfill agreements made in July 2025 regarding salary payments. The union's chairman, Comrade Muhammad, addressed the media, highlighting the ongoing salary arrears that have not been addressed. He warned that if the government continues to disregard these commitments, it may result in an industrial action by the lecturers. The union is urging immediate attention to the matter to avoid disruption of academic activities.
