The European Union (EU) and the African Development Fund (AFD) have formalized a partnership through a Sh37.5 billion agreement aimed at enhancing water and sanitation services in Mwanza. This initiative is part of the LVWATSAN II programme, which is projected to cost approximately Euro 202.5 million. The funding will be allocated to improve access to clean water and sanitation facilities, thereby contributing to better public health and environmental conditions in the region. The agreement underscores the commitment of both organizations to support sustainable development in East Africa.
