A commission of inquiry established by the Benue State Government has revealed that around N139.8 billion is unaccounted for in the state's financial records from May 29, 2015, to May 28, 2023. Justice Jubril Idrisu, who chairs the Benue State Income and Expenditure Commission of Inquiry, presented these findings during a recent briefing. The inquiry aimed to enhance transparency and accountability in the management of public finances within the state. Further investigations are expected to follow to address the discrepancies identified in the financial records.
