An Upper Area Court in Kubwa, Abuja, has officially dissolved the marriage between Marya Abubakar and Misbahudeen Kareem, following a request for divorce filed by Marya. The court, presided over by Judge Mohammed Wakili, granted the divorce based on allegations of Misbahudeen's failure to provide for his wife, which reportedly led to conflicts in their relationship. The couple had been married for two years, and Marya cited that the disputes began six months into their marriage, particularly due to the pressure surrounding her not becoming pregnant. Misbahudeen agreed to the divorce, allowing the court to proceed with the dissolution under Islamic Law.
