Commercial motorcyclists and tricycle operators in Ado-Ekiti persisted in their operations on Saturday, despite a movement restriction imposed by the police in light of the ongoing governorship election in Ekiti State. Reports from the News Agency of Nigeria indicate that activities commenced as early as 8 a.m., coinciding with the scheduled start of accreditation and voting. Additionally, several traders in prominent markets throughout the city also continued their business activities, seemingly disregarding the imposed restrictions. The situation highlights a notable challenge to the enforcement of the movement ban during the electoral process.
