The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has recognized the necessity for strengthened cooperation with the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) to bolster emergency preparedness and safety within the country's rail systems. Halima Suleiman, the Head of Operations at NEMA, made this announcement during a working visit to the NRC at Rigasa Railway Station in Kaduna on Saturday. The collaboration aims to enhance response strategies and ensure a more effective management of emergencies related to rail transport.
