By Steve Oko The Abia State Government has banned commercial motorcycle operations in the metropolitan areas of Umuahia, Aba and Ohafia, citing security and public safety concerns. The ban, approved by Governor Alex Otti, will take effect from Monday, June 22, 2026, and is one of the most extensive transport regulations introduced by the administration.
