Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso have congratulated the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Peter Obi, on his 65th birthday. In separate messages posted on their social media pages on Sunday, the two political leaders praised Obi’s contributions to public service, democratic governance and national development, while wishing him good health and many more years of service to the country. Atiku described Obi as a dear brother whose commitment to public service and Nigeria’s democracy has remained steadfast over the years. “I warmly congratulate my dear brother, HE Peter Obi, on his 65th birthday. I celebrate his remarkable journey, steadfast commitment to public service, and contributions to our democracy. “May the years ahead bring him renewed strength, wisdom, good health and fulfilment. Happy birthday, Peter,” Atiku wrote. Kwankwaso, in his message, described Obi as a leader whose integrity, humility and commitment to national service have earned him widespread respect. He said Obi had distinguished himself through a life of enterprise, conviction and exemplary leadership. “Throughout his remarkable life of service and leadership, Mr Obi has consistently distinguished himself as a man of exceptional enterprise, deep conviction and personal integrity. His humility and modesty remain exemplary in a world that often celebrates excess,” Kwankwaso said. He added that Obi’s principled leadership and commitment to national development continued to inspire many Nigerians, and wished him good health, strength and greater impact in his service to the country. Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, turned 65 on Sunday and received goodwill messages from political associates, supporters and other Nigerians in celebration of the milestone.
