The Zamfara State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to improving access to quality education through strategic partnerships and evidence-based reforms. The Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Abdulmalik Gajam, stated this during the UNICEF and Federal Ministry of Education review meeting on the UNICEF Education Country Programme. The meeting brought together officials from participating states to assess progress, review implementation milestones and strengthen collaboration in education service delivery. Gajam said discussions centred on aligning development interventions with states’ education priorities, improving learning outcomes and advancing sustainable reforms. He described partnerships with UNICEF and the Federal Ministry of Education as critical to achieving sustainable reforms and ensuring that every child has access to quality education. The commissioner added that the meeting also reviewed progress under the UNICEF Education Country Programme and explored strategies to improve programme implementation and service delivery.
