Expect analysts on the call to press Musk for answers on a potential SpaceX-Tesla merger. Bulls say that a tie-up of the two companies is a natural fit and would streamline some of Musk's goals.Otherwise, the call will be an important update on the big ideas that Tesla has been trying to sell Wall Street on for years now, mainly robotaxis and humanoid robots, or "physical AI."Tesla stock is down about 14% year to date. The earnings will be published shortly after the 4 p.m. ET closing bell, and the call with analysts will begin around 5:30 p.m. ET.BofA says focus to be on robotaxi deploymentBloomberg/Getty ImagesBofA rates Tesla stock as a "Buy" ahead of earnings and maintains a $391 price target, slightly higher than Wednesday's price. The bank's analysts see the rollout of Tesla robotaxis and Optimus humanoid robot production as key points of interest."We think focus for earnings will remain on TSLA's robotaxi deployments," BofA wrote. "TSLA added an additional market & is scaling TX fleet. We think core auto business remains healthy with reported 2Q deliveries above Street as TSLA gains global BEV market share."Analysts estimate Q2 revenue at $26.3 billion, EPS at $0.34Second quarterAdjusted EPS estimate 50c (Bloomberg Consensus)EPS estimate 34cRevenue estimate $26.31 billionAutomotive revenue estimate $18.68 billionEnergy generation and storage revenue estimate $3.77 billionServices and other revenue estimate $3.72 billionGross margin estimate 19.4%Operating income estimate $1.39 billionNegative free cash flow estimate $3.64 billionCapital expenditure estimate $6.59 billionActive FSD subscriptions estimate 1.4 millionYearProduction estimate 1.63 millionDeliveries estimate 1.71 millionCapital expenditure estimate $25.16 billionSource: BloombergRead the original article on Business Insider
