A protest has erupted in Ilesa, Osun State, after a 12-year-old boy was allegedly shot during a campaign of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Saturday morning. The boy was reportedly sitting inside his mother’s shop when gunshots were fired during the campaign. An eyewitness told SaharaReporters that the Chief Whip of the Osun State House of Assembly, Wale Akerele, was allegedly present alongside operatives of the Amotekun Corps when the incident occurred.
